Yesterday there had been a pop-up on SpeakAsia's website with some major updates.
This has left many SpeakAsians with lots of questions and doubts and to an extent some uncertainty as well.
Please be assured that SpeakAsia is HERE TO STAY and it will overcome every single problem currently being faced.

BizBasket Team had a conversation with SpeakAsia officials post this pop-up and we would like to inform you all the facts and updates:



Updates and Facts We Must Know

• First and MOST Important - Company itself has taken the responsibility to come forward and inform the entire family of SpeakAsia about the UOB Bank Account Problem. 

• If Company were to run away would they have even bothered to keep us informed ??? 
 
• Your Source Of Information - Please do not listen to Media or any other source for any form of information. Please rely ONLY and ONLY on SpeakAsia pop-ups

• SAOL would be sending out regular updates through the pop-ups hence please ensure you visit www.speakasiaonline.com atleast twice to thrice per day.
 
• Media has been known to (and in last couple of weeks they have proved) be manipulating facts. They have been playing with words and hiding that truth which they felt should not have been told.
 
• How Media Has Manipulated - Media has said that the Bank Accounts Of SAOL has been frozen/sealed. This Is A Manipulation of Facts.

• UOB had asked SAOL to close their bank accounts as they were not willing to be continue with SAOL because of this Media Propaganda
 
• Please Understand - if the bank account is sealed or frozen then the company cannot touch even a single rupee in their bank account - BUT - when a bank account is closed the company gets back the Entire Money from that bank.
 
• On News Channels it was seen and interpreted by many citizens in a manner as though these channels along with some politician have been CELEBRATING this information and claiming that this was achieved ONLY because of them.
 
• ESCROW Account - Company has trying their best to get itself moved to an ESCROW account so that any damage done at this point of time can be minimized at the earliest.

• If the company is able to talk out UOB and gets themselves an ESCROW account then all the payments pending will be paid at the earliest.
 
• In case if this is not possible then it might take upto 6-8 weeks for the payments to come in as a new Bank Set-Up will need to be done
 
• UOB Closing Bank Account - This is not a forced decision which UOB took because of Indian Media, neither is this because of any intervention either from Indian or Singapore Government. This is purely UOB Bank's decision

Impact and Next Steps: Possibilities and Suggestions Made

• Speak Asia To move Court Against Bank Account Freezing - Ashok Saraogi, legal adviser of Speak Asia, told Business Standard, "The actions have been done following all the media noise. We have a Bombay police directive against this action. We will challenge this legally."

• Registration Of The Company - Company had plans of getting itself registered in India by 1st week of August. However, looking at the recent events company is trying its best to ensure they get registered at the earliest (hopefully in the coming month)

• Company Zone Offices - SpeakAsia would be having 5 offices in India, one in each zone and Mumbai being the HO. This was also supposed to be completed by 1st-2nd week of August, however this also will be speed-en up. SAOL will try to get atleast one office done soon after the registration

• Promo Gifts - Last month their had been some promo contests where many people have won Android Phones and LCDs. SpeakAsia is trying its best to ensure these are dispatched at the earliest

• Withdrawal Of Cash Request Option -  We will very soon be having an option to cancel/withdraw cash request sent. By doing so the amount which was requested will show up in your account balance once again. This can be used for new signups or for purchasing sub-panels.

• Inspite of SpeakAsia's bank account getting closed if they have not given up and are still fighting tooth-n-nail to be back on track then why should we give up ???

• When the bank account of SpeakAsia has closed down, its not just we panelists but even SpeakAsia employees wont be able to get their salary. Their salary ofcourse is more important than our 11k. If a SpeakAsia employee tells me that All Is Well then WHY should We Worry ??
